We are starting signup's for the 2026 Summer Swim team! We can't wait to continue the Deer Run traditions at the pool.
Goals for the Dolphins Swim Team Develop good relationships, and maintain good sportsmanship, and team spirit. | Goals for the Individual Swimmer To become confident in the water, learn and perfect stroke and kicking, and develop a lifelong relationship with swimming. |
COACH & SUPPORT TEAM
We are excited that Erin Evans will be the Head Coach for the Deer Run Swim Team this coming season. She is currently coaching the Georgia Tsunami Swim Club at Oxford College. She grew up around swim team and swam competitively from a young age through High School. She has continued to enjoy swimming and water sports throughout her adult life. She holds her coaching certification with USA Swimming, is a certified lifeguard, and a Level 2 ACA kayaking instructor. She has been working with and leading young women for the past 9 years through Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta and the Georgia Tsunami Swim Club for the past year. Erin has a passion for empowering young people to discover their own strength and confidence through exercise and the outdoors. She is excited to join the team in a leadership position and knows it'll be a great summer!

As a parent of 3 swimmers, I am passionate about supporting our swimmers and helping create a positive, organized, and successful season for everyone involved. Greetings Everyone! My name is Tene Davis and I'm happy to be a part of the team of moms who will serve the Deer Run Dolphins Swim Team this 2026 season! As a community member and member of the DRRC, we have supported the swim team since 2020 when our oldest joined the team. Now with both of our girls a part of the team, I am happy to continue my support in this new role. We're looking forward to an awesome season!

The Deer Run Swim Team is dedicated to teaching kids ages 5-18 the sport of swimming. Historically, coaching staff have been lifelong swimmers who serve as coaches and mentors, and express the love of swimming to each child. The focus for young swimmers is to become confident in the water and to build on confidence as the season progresses. Breathing techniques are incorporated, followed by kicking and arm movement in the water. Once confidence is achieved, stroke and turn elements are incorporated, focusing on swimming the length of the pool with assistance. As swimmers advance through each age group, stroke and turn techniques are introduced and perfected. Throughout each season, we incorporate team-building games and good old fashion fun to keep practice fun and upbeat. For the team as a whole, the goals are developing good sportsmanship, developing relationships, team spirit, and achieving personal bests in the pool.
