Violations of any of the rules should be reported to members of the Tennis Committee or the Board of Directors.
GENERAL
- Regulation tennis shoes must be worn.
- No bicycles, skates, skateboards, chairs or similar equipment allowed inside the fence.
- One key for the tennis courts shall be given with each membership. Members are responsible for the security of the key and the tennis courts. The last member to leave the courts must lock the gate when no other members are playing.
- Guests are allowed subject to the following restrictions:
- Only guests residing outside the corporation membership area are allowed.
- Guests must be accompanied by a playing corporation member at all times.
- A household can use only one court at a time.
- All players (men, women and children) will take their tum on an equal basis except for the following adult priorities:
- Adults have priority over children under fifteen (15) years during the following times: weekends, holidays and after 6:00 PM on weekdays.
- If children under 15 are playing during these prescribed periods without an adult, they must vacate the court if adult members arrive for play.
- Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
- The courts will close at 11:00 PM.
- Clean up the area before leaving.
- Do not abuse the nets and playing surface.
- The Tennis Committee may reserve both courts for corporation tournaments; mixers or tennis related events, which promote the fellowship and general recreational benefits accruing to corporation members.
- Playing time is limited to 1-½ hours.
LEAGUE PLAY
- Organized league teams have court priorities during the times of scheduled matches.
- Courts #1 and 2 may be reserved by each league team for 1-1/2 hours of team practice or team lessons per week. Practice or lessons can begin 30 days prior to the first match of each league season and ending with the last match of each season.
- League team captains will submit match schedules and authorized team practice times to the Tennis Committee Chairman one month prior to the start of each league season or as soon as known. The Tennis Committee Chairman will post the days and times the courts are reserved for all league teams.
- League team members, including substitutes who are not corporation members will be required to pay $25.00 per league season.
TENNIS LESSONS -NON-LEAGUE PLAY
- Courts #1 and 2 may be reserved for the sole purpose of taking lessons from a teaching professional. Each non-member is required to pay a fee of $5.00 for the period. Time, date and non-member fees must be submitted in writing to the tennis chairperson.
RESERVED COURTS
- Court #1 may be reserved one day in advance. Members may reserve this court for 1-½ hours of singles or doubles play. Sign up sheets will be posted on the court bulletin board. A maximum of one reservation per family member per day is allowed.
- If the time is not used, courtesy demands that the reservation be cancelled in advance.
- It is the responsibility of the players to vacate the court at the correct time if people are waiting.
- If a player signed for a court does not arrive by 10 minutes past his court time, the court if open for play on a first come basis. The playing time is then only for the remainder of the reserved time The players using the court for the remainder of the 1-½ hours should sign in as if they had reserved the court.
- Reserved court rules under League Play and Tennis Lessons take priority over the regular Reserved Court rules.
OPEN COURT
- Court #2 is an open court and play is on a first come basis. Players will note the time they occupy the court on the sign-in sheet. Players who fail to complete the sign-in sheet and the time play began must forfeit the court immediately if others amve.
- If the court is in use upon arrival, insert your name on the waiting list. You must be in the area when the next court becomes available. If you are not in the area, you will lose the court to the next name on the waiting list that is in the area. Your name must be re-entered at the bottom of the list upon your return.
- It is not permissible to have your name on the waiting list and be playing on another court at the same time.
- If Court #1 is vacant, the open court rules apply.
